Every surface contacted within the environment is a source of transmission. What is used more?
Your hands or your feet/shoes?
Washing your hands "10x a day"  is the single greatest health precaution any adult can utilize. However, if children are present in your household, their hands contact the floor far more often than they get washed. Moreover, since children explore through tactile feedback their environment must be sanitary to prevent spreading of germs. The result is your children not only track toxins in through their hands & feet but spread theses toxins by nature.
We love children too and know how to create a healthy home.
We want to spread the love.

Clean hands and clean floors create a healthy home!

The single adult Answer = Your feet
The Family Answer = Children and  feet

Are Your floors harming your health?
Indoor Health and Air Quality Studies
Studies produced through the E.P.A. concluded the following:

Most people spend 90 percent or more of their time indoors, where levels of pollutants may be two to five times (and occasionally more than 100 times) higher than outdoor levels.

Many of these pollutants settle and/or absorb into indoor carpeting. Causing your carpet to act as filter. In it's first year of life"
Standard vacuuming
3x a week with a hepa-filtered vacuum can help reduce these pollutants, however, eventually your carpet acts like a sink collecting more and more pollutants.

"It cannot be over-emphasized that proper cleaning and maintenance is a critical component of any flooring system. To help ensure longer life, maintain appearance, and help protect indoor air quality, carpet requires regular vacuuming with a well-functioning vacuum cleaner equipped with strong suction and a high-performance filtration bag and periodic wet extraction cleaning." (EPA, http://www.epa.gov/iaq/schooldesign/controlling.html#Carpet)

EPA
American Lung Association
"Carpets may trap pollutants like dust mites, pet dander, cockroach allergens , particle pollution, lead, mold spores, pesticides, dirt and dust. Toxic gases in the air can adhere to small particles that settle into carpets.1 These pollutants may become airborne when disturbed by renovations, vacuuming or even daily activities like walking across the carpet.  In the home, children are more likely to be exposed to pollution in carpets. They spend time playing on the floor and place their hands in their mouths.  If a large area is covered in carpet, it may be very difficult to remove indoor air pollutants and allergens."
